The Homestead plan implements a combination of timber framing and conventional framing to keep the overall cost of your new home affordable. This plan has a number of features that will enhance any lifestyle:
- The plan has a great flow pattern with a minimum of hallways. This allows more space for functional uses and less simply for getting from one part of the house to another.
- Cathedral ceilings in the living room and dining room on the first floor enhance the feeling of space and grandeur in the home. All ceilings on the second floor are cathedral as well.
- The media room, living room, kitchen, dining room, entry, loft and bedroom above the kitchen have posts and beams with tongue and groove wood ceilings and our 8" thick insulated panel roof system. These areas are framed using our typical TimbeRoof Post and Beam system, with beautiful exposed beams and wood paneling - stained in your choice of color.
- The kitchen and entry ceiling also act as the floor for the second story loft and bedroom and have wood beams and tongue and groove wood flooring. The wood can be stained and sealed for a finished floor or covered in carpet.
- The master bedroom and studio above the master bedroom are framed in a conventional manner. The roof consists of 2x12 rafters 16" on center, precut and ready to install. All the walls in the home are pre-built and ready to set into place.
